We take this oppurtunity to bring to your kind attention that we are running an 11 machined charitable Dialysis centre in the slums of Malad,Malvani since last 4 years i.e since 1st May 2008. We started our centre with 2 dialysis machines and only 4 patients taking dialysis in our centre. As of today we are having 11 machines and total 70 patients taking dialysis in our centre We would like to inform you that 3 patients are below the age of 15 yrs,15 patients at the age of 20 yrs,20 patients at the age of 30 yrs and rest are 50 yrs and above. We are doing total 700 dialysis approximately every month. We have patients coming from Dahanu rd,Palghar, Mira Rd and Mumbra and also from small villages and towns. We are giving high quality dialysis to very poor patients all living below poverty line. Our Dialysis charges are Rs.150/ to the patients,whereas the actual cost per dialysis is Rs.500/- There are other requirements to the patient alongwith the dialysis treatment ,like dialyser .tubing blood injections,iron injections,regular blood tests and also various medicines for which we are charging extra: A Breakup of which is as follows: Dialyser Rs.520/- Tubing Rs.135 Erythropoietin Injection Rs.200/- Iron sucrose for Rs.150/-and monthly blood test Rs.500/-.All these consumables are charged extra to the patient. Total cost of the dialysis treatment to the patient incurred is around 5000/-p.m,which our patients find very difficult to afford. We would like to bring to your notice that we are using latest machines from reputed companies like fresenius and Nipro brand,which are very patient friendly and give very good results. We also have 2 latest technology R.0 plants (Reverse Osmosis plant s)for water purification costing Rs.3 lakhs each The maintaince of the same is being done regularly to keep it clean and give pure water quality which is the heart of dialysis. We have now installed separate U V machines to every dialysis machine so as to kill any kind of bacteria or germs before entering into the body of the patient through the water thus improving the health of the patients and keep ing away the patient from any kind of water borne infection and also improving the haemoglobin of the patient.
